At Plum Tree Preschool we have three seperate rooms. The Kiwi room (babies),Fantail room (toddlers) and the Tui room (preschool children). The Kiwi and Fantail rooms work closely together but the Tui room is seperate.

In the outdoor environment the children play and work alongside each other. This allows the older, more independent children to help the younger children and visa versa. It also allows siblings to be near and enjoy each others company. The daily routine is a mix of free play and structured activities.

​Our babies and toddlers have an environment that is physically safe, cognitively challenging and emotionally nurturing. We allow time for uninterrupted play and involve the child in all care activities to allow the child to become an active participant. Children are given freedom to explore and interact with other infants. Our programme is influenced by the RIE philosophy.
